SLEC Journey

OUR LAST
25 YEARS

Our humble beginnings started with four senior care centres in 1999, serving 220 elders in Whampoa, Hougang, Clementi and Yishun. Throughout the years, SLEC remained steadfast in our mission of enriching lives in the community, continually expanding to meet the growing demand and evolving needs of eldercare.

OUR
FUTURE
PLANS

Today, SLEC stands at a pivotal point as Singapore shifts towards a “super-aged” society. Over the last 25 years, we have established and expanded SLEC’s services and capabilities by building faithfully on the vision of our founders to serve the elderly and the community. Looking ahead, SLEC has much more work to do.

A growing ageing population comes with many challenges but also immense opportunities. For SLEC, there isn’t a better time than now to envision a new model of eldercare in the community that aligns with ongoing changes in the healthcare landscape and the evolving profiles of our elders. SLEC’s deep experience and expertise in eldercare positions us well to embark on our next phase of growth to make an even greater impact on Singapore and the lives of Singaporeans.

With innovation, collaboration and education as the anchors for our next lap of growth, SLEC is ready to break new ground to uplift our elders, elevate the care sector, and transform community care. SLEC is committed to taking a holistic approach to support the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and spiritual development and growth of our elders and the community, through a comprehensive range of initiatives under 6 pillars – Innovate, Mentor, Programme, Advocate, Connect and Train (IMPACT).
